Maternal Health Project

Starting in April, 2006 Ashley Heaslip will begin the coodination of the HIV/AIDS and Maternal Health Project for Working to Empower. She will join Logan in Tanzania at the end of May 2006, taking with her an HIV/AIDS and maternal health training manual she developed for Working to Empower during April and May.

Ashley will receive her Bachelor of Arts from the University of Victoria in April, 2006 in Political Science and Journalism. She spent the summer of 2004 researching HIV/AIDS and primary education in Malawi, southeastern Africa with World University Service of Canada. She has been working for the International Women's Rights Project at the University of Victoria since June, 2005.
